Feb. 21 – Pirelli & C. Ambiente and Clean Diesel have signed an agreement to form a joint venture for marketing and sales in Europe and in the CIS devices for emissions control. The new company, called Eco Emission Enterprise Srl, will be based in Milan and is expected to become operational by March. The two companies aim to consolidate their leadership in emissions reducing technologies for diesel or petrol pollutants in light vehicles and in heavy duty applications for on-road and off-road segments of Original Equipment and the After Market. In addition, they intend to pursue joint initiatives made possible by the synergies resulting from the cartel. The agreement covers the supply of silicon carbide substrates by Pirelli & C. Eco Technology RO (Romania) and solutions for the control of emissions from CDTi. Eco Emission Enterprise Srl, which will have an international management, will become the trading arm of both partners in the European market.
