Mar. 20 – 12 Italian companies active in electronics and electrical engineering sector are taking part in the trade mission organized by ANIE Confindustria and Promos with the support of ICE. The mission takes places in the Russian Federation, in the city of Yekaterinburg (Urals). The Italian firms will try to seize the business opportunities that will be offered to them, especially in the fields of energy and industrial construction. The Ural region is an area with promising industrial economic and scientific development, which is home to many research centers and start-up ‘incubators’. In 2012, Russia registered a 3.7% growth in GDP, a rate that should be confirmed in 2013 (+3.8%) and 2014 (+3.9%). In particular, again in 2012, the electronics and electrical industry saw an annual increase of 7%. In the Sverdlovsk region, the administrative center of Ekaterinburg, contributed to 2.5% of Russian GNP.
