(Mar. 26th) – AnsaldoBreda and SIC (Chonqing Chuany Automation Co. Limited) established in Chongqing, China, a joint venture to build a big railway partnership that would operate on the market. Objective of the agreement is the production, development and marketing of electric traction system, ancillary services and TCMS system (Train Control Monitoring System) for type B metropolitan (ie, 6-traditional cash-drive with driver). The formalization of the deal took place in Chonqing during a ceremony which was attended by, among others, the Italian ambassador in Beijing, Angelo Bradanini. The signature has been affixed by CEO Maurizio Manfellotto, and Xiang Xiaobo, General Manager of Silian, SIC corporate company. The joint venture has a registered capital of 6.3 million euros. The top management was defined as follows. To AB goes the General Manager, the Deputy Financial Officer and the Chief Technical Officer. To SIC, the Chief Financial Officer, the Chief Operations Officer and the Chief Marketing Officer. The agreement opens economic prospects for high flow rates. (Red)
