Apr. 22 – After Geneva, LaFerrari heads to Shanghai: after last month’s Geneva Motor Show, Shanghai is currently hosting an analogous event in which Maranello’s hybrid supercar continues to attract the attention of the media and the public. The large crowd of photographers and cameramen in front of the Ferrari stand waited for Amedeo Felisa, CEO, to reveal, for the first time in Asia, the new special limited series. “China is a market of great strategic importance for us and we will continue to invest here – said Felisa in his speech – “To date, we have 25 dealerships and we want to reach 30 by the end of 2013, and add five more the following year.” Of the 499 LaFerrari vehicles, only 50 will be delivered to customers in Greater China. Here the demand is more than the offer, as it happens in every part of the world. The excellent performance of Ferrari in the Greater China region (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) in 2012 is reflected in the number of sold cars: nearly 800; and this positive trend is set to continue into 2013, as data from the first quarter shows.
