Apr. 26 – The first operating agreement for Italian extra virgin olive oil is approaching the finish line after two years of collaboration. Two new missions in the United States, in New York, will take place in coming days. The agreement signed between the Ministry of Economic Development, ICE and Unaprol – operating in the internationalization of supply chain contracts signed with the Ministry of Agriculture – celebrated the first ever experiment in public-private partnerships to support actions in favor of high quality Italian extra virgin olive oil. On Monday, at the NASFT headquarters in New York – organizer and owner of the Fancy Food trademark – ICE and Unaprol are organizing a seminar for 30 journalists and buyers to present the Italian offer: a taste test and the simultaneous presentation of certain oils extra virgin olive oil: Redoro Frantoi Veneti di Grezzana (Verona), Società Agricola Trevi il Frantoio di Trevi (Perugia), Oleificio Guglielmi di Andria (Barletta), Oleificio Cooperativo Paladino di Palo del Colle (Bari). The event will conclude with the “Uncover the intruder” test, a comparative taste test that will help journalists identify and separate poor quality oil.
