Apr. 30 – Joining the short list for the Oscars, Il turno di notte lo fanno le stelle participated in the Rome Film Festival and now won the award for best short film at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Directed by Edoardo Ponti and adapted from a story by Erri De Luca, Il turno di notte lo fanno le stelle “tells love in its various dimensions and is a film that literally gets to the heart” is the motivation with which the jury of the Tribeca Film Festival awarded the prize. The news was received with joy by the Autonomous Province of Trento, as the film was shot entirely on the Dolomites for Oh! Penand Decima Rosa productions, with Aurelio Laino and Elena Negriolli and the support of Trentino Film Commission and Trentino Marketing. “This is wonderful news – said the president of the Province Alberto Pacher – not only in terms of culture and promotion, but also because the Trentino Film Commission is showing that these are good opportunities for many local professionals. Recognition at this level is definitely a stimulus for our Film Commission, and we invite them to continue their work to promote the area, driving force for creating peaks of excellence capable to compete in contexts that require great artistic quality.”
