May 24 – Is China growing or stuck in the middle? This is the question dozens of economists and financial analysts are trying to answer. One thing is certain: its double-digit growth, which only ten years ago was dwarfing the world economy, is weakening. It is hence important to look at the Asian country with new eyes. Monday, May 27, at 16.30 in the “Giorgio Fini” auditorium of Confindustria Modena, there will be an in-depth seminar on the evolution of the Chinese market. In collaboration with the Italy-China Foundation and with the support of the Region of Emilia-Romagna, Confindustria Modena will present the “China in 2013. Scenarios and prospects for companies” report. The latter is a detailed investigation by which the Italy-China Foundation investigates business opportunities for Modena companies. The seminar is divided into two sessions. The first will address the technical and organizational aspects of doing business in China, and it will be attended by Thomas Rosenthal of the Italy-China Foundation, Enrico Toti from the NCTM law firm, and Chiara Altomonte from Consea. This will be followed by a panel discussion with: Paolo Bianchi from Emmegi Group, Helmut Senfter from Grandi Salumifici Italiani, Sergio Sassi from Emilceramica and Gianmarco Messori from Messori Italia. The purpose of the roundtable is to highlight different case histories, stories and experiences (from the producer to the retail shop) for entrepreneurs who seek to build partnerships in the country.
