July 10 – Alfa Romeo will attend the “Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013,” to be held from tomorrow until July 14 in West Sussex (UK). For the occasion, a large Alfa Romeo stand was set up where the public can get to know the new Alfa Romeo 4C and six pieces now belonging to the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo: 8C 2900B Special type “Le Mans” (1938), Grand Prix Type 159 “Alfetta” (1951), 2000 Sportiva (1954), 33 Stradale prototype (1967), 1750 GT Am (1970) and 33 TT 12 (1975). The undisputed star of the show, the Alfa Romeo 4C will be, for the first time, seen in its dynamic performance: a track of almost 2 km starts with a tree-lined avenue through the southern corner of the Goodwood Estate, then turns violently in front of Goodwood House before climbing up a fraught and narrow road enclosed by stone walls toward the Goodwood Racecourse, which dominates the top of the magnificent South Downs. It should be emphasized that the difference in height of the track from start to finish is nearly 100 meters and that it is a particularly difficult and technical track, putting to the test the concentration and speed skills of the best drivers in the world. The British event is also an ideal opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Autodelta, the racing division created in March 1963, and the 90th anniversary of the “Quadrifoglio Verde,” a legendary symbol of Alfa Romeo sports cars. Finally, the audience of the “Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013” be able to buy the new merchandising collection dedicated to the new Alfa Romeo 4C and Alfa Romeo Heritage. Among other things, all objects and accessories purchased at the Alfa Romeo stand will benefit from a 20% discount and will entitle the customer to be part of a final draw to win an iPad.
