Aug. 1 – There is an animal that can compete without fear with the Ferrari’s sprint: the cheetah, king of speed. And Ferrari is moving its first steps in the land of the cheetah; Namibia, at the “Tony Rust circuit,” located on the outskirts of the Daan Viljoen nature reserve, and on the streets of the nearby Namibian capital Windhoek, hosted an event reserved for Ferrari fans. The lucky participants had the opportunity to test the car’s range, the California, the Spider and the FF, under the guidance of the Pilot Ferrari Course instructors from Maranello. Mervyn Eagles, CEO of Viglietti Motors, the official importer in neighboring South Africa and organizer of the event, expressed his satisfaction: “Africa is an emerging market for the automotive brands such as Ferrari, there is a growing interest and a growing number of potential customers. The hospitality we received in Namibia was extraordinary and I believe that this event marks a milestone in the expansion of Ferrari in this southern corner of the world.”
