Aug. 19 – Go to Barcelona, and you will find Venice, at least from Aug. 22-30 in plaça La Farga, on occasion of the neighborhood party known as Major de Sants Fest. The event managers decided to recreate a Venetian corner, including its most beautiful monuments – a mini-Campanile, a miniature Phoenix Theater, and a gondola. Organized by the Ajuntament de Barcelona, in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Center, this year’s festival is yet another sign of respect and admiration between two great cities.
