Aug. 22 – A love for traveling, Northern Europe, and the quest for a different reality from one’s homeland brought the Italian group Il Disordine Delle Cose, in the latest chapter of their career, to Glasgow to record their new album. The band, composed of Marco Manzella, Alessandro Marchetti, Luca Schiuma, Vinicio Vinago, Emanuele Sarri and Mattia Boschi, toured for a year presenting their LP La Giostra, receiving positive reviews from the both critics and the public. Now, they are bringing their latest ideas to the Glasgow CaVa Sound Studios. “After the incredible growth and personal experiences we shared while recording La Giostra, recorded and mixed in Iceland in the Sigur Ròs Studios, we decided to try our luck abroad once again. We believe it will be a transit album, with a different impact, it may turn out harsher than the previous one and it will definitely be more metropolitan. We call it a transit album, because we will me exploring new sounds and testing ourselves within them.” Says the band, originally from Novara. With 40 years of activity, the Glasgow Studios, founded in 1974 by Brian Young, saw Richard Branson and Simple Minds make base there, before hosting legends like Travis, Texas, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Daft Punk, Stereophonics, Mercury Rev, Belle and Sebastian and Mogwai. CaVa Sound Studios are thus at a crossroads between different sounds, influences, and genres which Il Disordine delle Cose hope to confront themselves with before their latest album release, scheduled for Spring 2014.
