(Sept. 3 ) – On September 9, at the Italian Institute of Culture in Prague, it will inaugurated the exhibition “Et Cetera”, born thanks to a competition for under 40 Czech artists, and organized by the Foundation Eleutheria. The Italian-Czech organization was created in 2008 by Francesco Augusto Razetto, an Italian real estate developer in Prague and avid collector of art works. Razetto has donated the foundation his private art collection dating back to Socialist Realism in Czechoslovakia (650 paintings, 200 sculptures, plus a series of photographs, posters and medals collected in nearly twenty years), with the aim, in addition to that of create a permanent exhibition, to enhance and study this art movement, still very little known. Thanks to “Et Cetera”, which will run until September 30th, the Foundation intends to give continuity to its cultural activities, putting on hold, however, the theme of Socialist Realism, which had characterized the previous exhibitions. The artists were selected by a specialized commission, composed by the curator of the Foundation Prof. Genny Di Bert, the former director of the National Gallery in Prague Rösel Vladimir, one of the most famous German collectors of contemporary art, Heinz Hager, by the Director General of Villa Manin Enzo Cainero, Razzetto himself and his brother Ottaviano.
