Sept. 9 – September 1963: the Turin Motor Show hosts the 595 Abarth in world premier. Fifty years later, the Frankfurt Motor Show, to be held September 12-22, is hosting the 595 “50th Anniversary,” more powerful than ever. The two legendary cars, sporty versions of the equally legendary Fiat 500, represent what Abarth does best. The company, founded in 1949 in Turin by the Italian-Austrian engineer with the same name, is responsible for the production and marketing of Fiat models’ sports versions and elaborations. In Frankfurt, the Scorpion brand celebrates one of its greatest icons: the 595. The stand will host two exclusive cars: a historical sample of 595 presented to the public in 1963 and an Abarth 595 “50th Anniversary,” the new Limited Series inspired by the brand’s own icon. But the surprises do not end here: Abarth will also be showcasing its 695 Maserati Edition in the special color “Grigio Record,” produced in a limited edition of only 49 pieces to celebrate the automaker’s foundation in 1949. The German audience will also appreciate the Abarth 695 Assetto Corse, characterized by references to the 2013 “Make it your race,” the first Abarth talent show for aspiring pilots: the car is the most complete expression of brand technology and performance.
