Sept. 24 – Italy, with its excellences, is present at “IAC”: the International Astronautical Congress, a salon – now in its 64th edition – that opened its doors yesterday in Beijing and will run until Friday, September 27. At the center of the event there are scientists, managers and policymakers in the industry. The event’s program includes lectures, seminars, plenary sessions, exhibitions and the participation of space agencies and other international organizations in the field, industries and small and medium-sized enterprises. In essence, “IAC ” is one of the most exciting and most prestigious events in the aerospace sector: hosted by the Chinese Society of Astronautics, ” IAC ” is an annual itinerant event, taking place this year in Beijing – at the China National Convention Centre – while the last edition was held in Naples. The Ice – Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies – has organized a collective of 8 companies and industry institutions, which represent the most important Italian technology clusters: from Tuscany, the ToscanaSpazio Association and Alta and Kaiser Italia businesses; from Puglia, companies Planetek and Sitael; from Campania, the Techno System Developments; from Emilia, DTM; and from Piedmont, the Italian Institute of Technology. The aim of the initiative is to promote Italy’s technological excellence in the production of applications, systems, technologies and products of the space segment, in order to increase the degree of internationalization and competitiveness of firms in the sector. The collaboration with the AIAD Federation was recently strengthened by the presence of a delegate at ICE. This collaboration, alongside the ones with the AIPAS Association and with ASI, focus on new markets outside Europe, such as Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and China (the so-called “Trec”).
