Sept. 30 – Il Volo, aka Ignazio Boschetto, Piero Barone and Gianluca Ginoble, are Italy’s most famous trio in the United States. The three artists came together during the second edition of the Rai1 hit talent show “Ti Lascio Una Canzone,” and since 2009 they continue collecting achievements and awards, with the result that they are now stars overseas. Another confirmation of this occurred on Friday night, when Il Volo took to the stage of Radio City Music Hall in New York. With critics claiming that “they captured the hearts of Americans of all ages,” “they are following in the footsteps of Andrea Bocelli,” “three incredible voices,” ” such powerful voices that could belong to a tenor with 30 years of experience.” The Rockefeller Center welcomed the trio with more than 25,000 lights and a sold-out audience (5,000 tickets were sold within 48 hours). The concert celebrated the end of the trio’s successful North American tour. Soon Il Volo will leave for the Central and South America for another 27 gigs scheduled until the end of November. During the concerts, the boys will present songs from their latest album “Buon Natale – The Christmas Album,” which will be released through Interscope Records / Universal Music worldwide this fall and will be available in digital and traditional stores in Italy starting November 26. The three talents have became known in America thanks to their participation in the popular talent show American Idol, through which they quickly received the appreciation of important artists such as Barbra Streisand, who asked them to join her tour. Il Volo also received unanimous support in the world for their great vocal talent and ability to entertain the audience, as proved during the two PBS specials dedicated to them: “Il Volo Takes Flight ” and “Il Volo We Are Love.”
