Nov. 15 – “A well-tied tie is the first serious step in life,” Oscar Wilde used to say. And Audi seems to be taking this advice very seriously, as it turns to Neapolitan haute couture, Ulturale, to create a line of ties for the “Audi” brand, destined to senior management and stakeholders (top clients and suppliers). “In addition to the chosen fabrics – said the Neapolitan company – the most curious fact is that the Germans wanted it to be created exclusively for them, a variant of the line Tie’ with a three-dimensional logo made of silver, sewn on the tie.” The settepieghe Tie’ is in pure silk, made by expert craftsmen, with inside a good luck charm or a croissant in precious coral. Neapolitan tradition, especially in its combination of haute couture and luck, has won over German managers. The packaging is particularly eye-catching and highly stylized, a box with a carbon fiber effect . “Reaching this agreement with Audi – says president and sales manager Giancarlo Auriemma – is proof that Made in Italy is always appreciated in the world. For us, it is a source of great satisfaction to see our brand combined with that of one of the most prestigious cars. Audi’s production cycle has strict rules, not so distant in philosophy from our own. Therefore – Auriemma concludes – this agreement is proof that when quality becomes a common denominator, even small businesses can cooperate with a multinational company.”
