Dec. 2 – Four Italian companies united under a single brand: Mondodelvino. MGM Mondo del Vino, Barone Montalto, Poderi dal Nespoli and Cuvage win over Canadian dinner tables with 4 million bottles sold for a total value of €6.6 million. The milestone marks the new vision of the group that in 2012 had a turnover of €76 million and an EBITDA of €7 million, with 56 million bottles sold. In addition, Mondodelvino should close 2013 with a revenue growth of 14%, amounting to €85 million. The group has now 213 employees, a significant presence in 47 foreign countries and is particularly strong in Canada, Germany, Great Britain, the United States and Scandinavia. “Thanks to the quality and naturalness of our wines and our sparkling wines, produced only from Italian grapes with high quality profiles, – says Alfeo Martini, CEO of Mondodelvino – we have won a prestigious position in Canada, a very exclusive market due to strict government monopolies for alcohol distribution, but worth about € 255 million for Italian wines and growing between 4.5 and 6% every year.”
