Dec. 17 – After nearly a month since the disastrous typhoon that bent the Philippines, Italy perseveres in its aid efforts. This Christmas, Nazca, the Milan-based Facility Management company, will join Agire (the Italian Agency for Emergencies) and CRI (the Italian Red Cross) in support of assistance programs in favor of the local population. The funds, obtained via the sale of presents, will be allocated to the acquisition of 100 tents that will give shelter to 700 people. Agire’s NGO network distributed primary goods, such as food and drinkable water, as well as drugs and materials to build shelters, bringing assistance to 300.000 people. The Italian Red Cross, for its part, mobilized 6.233 volunteers and assisted 400.000 people by distributing 710.000 liters of water and providing psychological assistance to 1.554 people.
