Dec. 27 – Enel Green Power completed construction of a new wind farm in Chile in the Valle de los Vientos, in the region of Antofagasta. The new facility consists of 45 wind turbines of 2 mw each, for a total installed capacity of 90 mw. At full capacity, the plant, held by Eólico Parque Valle de los Vientos, a subsidiary of Enel Green Power Chile Ltda, will produce up to 200 GWh per year, avoiding the emission of more than 165.000 tons of CO2. The construction of the wind farm, in line with the growth targets set out in the 2013-2017 EGP business plan, required a total investment of about $170 million.
