Jan. 8 – Premio Impresa Ambiente is allowing entrepreneurs and companies to become Italian ambassadors for sustainability in Europe. The event, now in its seventh edition, is organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Rome (and its special Asset Camera agency) in collaboration with Unioncamere and the patronage of the Ministry of Environment. The initiative is reserved to private and public companies that have made green policies their competition levers at national and European levels. Interested companies have a month to submit their applications: the projects should be sent by 10 February via premioimpresambiente.it. The winning companies will be honored during a ceremony in Rome in March and will have the right to represent Italian excellence at the European Business Awards for the Environment promoted by the European Commission. In previous years, the award brought to the forefront large and small companies, with projects and products that materially contributed to improve economic, social and environmental impacts in Italy. The award is divided into four categories: Best management, Best product, Best process / technology, and Best international cooperation. The event will also hand out the “Special Young Entrepreneur Award,” reserved for owners or company directors under 40 who are already participating in another category of the competition. These entrepreneurs will be judged for their strong business acumen, innovation and research activities within ecologically sustainable practices.
