Jan 22 – “Felice chi è diverso” by Gianni Amelio and “Il Sud è niente” by Fabio Mollo are the two films the Luce-Cinecittà Institute will present in Berlin during the 64th edition of the Film Festival. Amelio’s documentary is produced by the Roman company with Rai Cinema and Rai Trade, with the collaboration of the Cultural Heritage Ministry’s General Directory for Cinema and Cubovision of Telecom Italia. The film will be inserted in the Panorama Dokumente section; and distributed by Luce-Cinecittà in theaters by early March. Mollo’s directorial debut will be inserted in the Generation section, the category reserved to films for children and teenagers. The film is an international sensation, after its presence at the Film Festivals in Toronto, Rome and Turin. This success is further reinforced by the special nomination for first-time actress Miriam Karlkvist, in the 2014 edition of Shooting stars, the EFP showcase for emerging European actors.
