Jan. 27 – Italferr, the Italian FS engineering group, has won its first Sub-Saharan contract, beating international competitors. Signed at the headquarters of the Ethiopia Railways in Addis Abeba, the consulting contract is worth €1.233.000. It includes consulting services for maintenance and use of the new railway, from Addis Abeba to Djibouti, and for the new metro-line of the capital. Both are in an advanced construction stage. The contract’s legal name is Consultancy Services for Rail Operations Legal Framework, Operations Management System Development & Master Document Preparation.
