Feb. 13 – Cheese and salami, wine and brandy: flavors and aromas from Trentino are once again center stage abroad. The culinary excellence of the territory was part of Fruit Logistica, the most important fair in the world reserved for fruit and vegetables operators. The fair was held a few days ago in Germany, in Berlin, and is an important showcase allowing industry operators to make new contacts and present their offer. Fruit Logistica welcomed 2,500 exhibitors, representing 80 countries, while 58,000 visitors from 130 countries participated. The province of Trento took part in the event with an institutional space of 200 square meters, located in Hall 2.2 and coordinated by Trentino Turismo e Promozione and APOT (Trentino’s fruit and vegetable producer associations). The “Trentina”, “Ursula” and “Melinda” consortia were also present, representing apples and berries. “Fruit Logistica is an important platform to create and consolidate relationships with customers from other countries, strengthening competitiveness on the domestic and foreign markets, offering more balanced and high quality products – explains Alessandro Dalpiaz, director of APOT – in this context, Trentino’s participation demonstrates once again the Province’s ability to create a system that works, combining business needs with territorial peculiarities.”
