Feb. 26 – AgustaWestland landed approximately €260 million worth of contracts for the delivery of commercial and government helicopters to the United States, Brazil, the UK and Japan. AgustaWestland is a Finmeccanica company continuing its expansion in foreign markets thanks to a series of contracts signed during the international exhibition Heli -Expo 2014, held in Anaheim, California, until tomorrow. The contracts cover a total of 24 specimens, including AW119Kx, GrandNew, AW139, AW189, and solutions for maintenance and training. “The helicopters – said the group in a statement – will be used for offshore transport, air ambulances, search and rescue operations, fire-fighting missions, civil protection and passenger transport. All our products are high -tech, operationally flexible, with excellent cost / effectiveness ratios. We also have exclusive customer care services, which summed up are the right combination of factors to remain competitive on a varied and highly demanding market. With these additional contracts, AgustaWestland confirms and further strengthens its leading position on the international stage.”
