Feb. 28 – Giacomo Leopardi was not the only one who looked over the hedge, in Recanati. Sovrani, a small company based in the Marche region, has stretched its ambition and set up a partnership with Disney. Sovrani is a market leader in the gold and silver sector and it recently acquired the Disney license to promote the production and distribution of gift items in silver. Thanks to the agreement, the company design and produce Disney-inspired photo frames and albums, brooches, wall clocks, mirrors, piggy banks and alarm clocks. The first collection will be launched in April and will feature Mickey Mouse and Minnie. The subsequent collections will feature Winnie the Pooh and Violetta, a character from the homonymous Disney Channel TV series. “We are extremely pleased with this acquisition – said businessman Silvano Bravi – Translating into objects the Disney brand will be a fascinating challenge that we will face with enthusiasm and determination.”
