Mar. 4 –Enzo Ferrari once said that “the best Ferrari ever built is the next one.” The California T, making its international debut at the Geneva Motor Show, is so beautiful that it seems ok to question the words of the entrepreneur. The name “California” brings to mind the precious relationship between the Italian car company and the United States; and all California Ferraris represent this myth within the myth of elegance, sportiness, versatility and exclusivity. The California T is the perfect representation of Ferrari’s sports DNA, all the while emphasizing those singular characteristics, such as the hard roof and the 2+ configuration, that make it unique in terms of usage. Like all Ferraris, it’s equipped with advanced technological solutions, starting with the new Ferrari V8 turbo engine, the technical heritage of iconic models such as the 1984 GTO of the 1987 F40. “The engineers – says the company – managed to create a unique powertrain, which combines all the qualities of a Ferrari engine in terms of response times, high performance, acceleration and sounds, with the benefits of turbo technology, such as extremely low emissions and power consumption, specific power and compact size.” With 3,855 cm3 for an output of 560 hp at 7500 rev / min and a maximum torque of 755 Nm, the California T’s performance reaches a maximum speed of 316 km / h and an acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 3.6 seconds. The Ferrari Styling Centre also delivered excellent results in collaboration with Pininfarina, profoundly revising the design of the previous model. In short, Ferrari continues to captivate the world with the charming and exclusive products typical of Italian productions.
