Mar. 7 – Italy and Argentina united in the name of cinema thanks to the continued cooperation of the TaorminaFilmFest and the International Festival of Pantalla Pinamar. This year, Sivily will go to Argentina, with three films opening tomorrow at Pantalla Pinamar, with the director’s cut of “Cinema Pararadiso” by Giuseppe Tornatore. The editorial director and general manager of TFF, Mario Sesti and Tiziana Rocca, will attend. In Pantalla Pinamar, the TaorminaFilmFest will also present the Sicilian “Summer ’82” by Salvo Cuccia, and Rocco Papaleo’s comedy “Una piccola impresa meridionale”. “The initiative kicked off last year, recording great interest among the public and the press – said the mayor of Taormina, Eligio Giardina – that’s why we renewed this partnership for the 60th edition of the Taormina Film Fest. I am honored, along with the Director of TaorminaFilmFest, Mario Sesti, and general manager Tiziana Rocca, to host Jorge Coscia, secretary of Argentine culture, and to show our audience important Argentine films. All this was also made possible thanks to Anica’s support throughout the whole year.”
