Mar. 25 – Bubbles from Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG convinced German palates and strengthened its position in the world of wine and spirits. The Carpenè Malvolti company and the whole DOCG system just received an important confirmation of their internationalization policies at the German wines and spirits fair, ProWein 2014 Dusseldorf. In line with the positive global prosecco consumption trend, Carpenè Malvolti’s performance confirms its leadership in the German market, the largest market in the world for the winery’s Prosecco DOCG, capturing 33% of total exports. Germany will therefore continue to be a key market for the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG both in terms of volume and sales value alongside the United Kingdom, the United States, Switzerland and Austria. Together, these countries capture a market value share above 71%, and 80% of total exported volume. Exports amount to more than half of total sales, with emerging markets and some of the major countries of South America, Asia and Oceania increasing their consumption rates.
