Apr. 10 – Montreal is getting ready to host the 16th edition of the literary festival “Metropolis Bleu Met.” The event will kick off on April 28 and will end on May 5. Metropolis Blue Met was established in 1997; its goal is to raise awareness on the joys of reading and writing, bringing together people of different cultures, united by the passion for literature. This year the festival will offer an entire week of events, 200 of them, with authors from all over the world. Carlo Lucarelli, writer, director, screenwriter, television presenter and journalist, is representing Italy. Thanks to a collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture in Montreal, the author will participate in meetings and interviews, in which he will discuss his experience as a writer of detective novels. The festival will also host the 15th Biennial Conference of the Association of Italian Canadian Writers, scheduled May 1-3 at the Italian Institute of Culture, which will include, meetings, round tables, concerts and live readings.
