Athens – The Secretary to the Prime Minister with responsibility for Territorial Cohesion, Graziano Delrio, is in Athens today and tomorrow to attend the informal meeting of the European Ministers of Policy Cohesion. “The main topics of the meeting – said in a note Palazzo Chigi – will be urban policies and small and medium-sized businesses, with particular emphasis on how to simplify funding access and how to improve operating conditions. These are priority topics launched by the Greek Presidency, which wishes to continue a dialogue on growth, job creation and innovation.” The meeting will also see the participation of the Commissioner for Regional Policy, Johannes Hahn, the outgoing president of the European Parliament of the Regional Policy Commission, Danuta Hubner, the President of the Regions Committee, Valcarcel Siso, and the President of the Economic and Social Committee, Van Iersel.
