(May 7th) Franca Sozzani has been appointed as new Ambassador of the World Food Programme of the United Nations. The appointment of the Editor in Chief of Vogue Italy will be announced during a press conference at the world headquarters of the UN in Rome. It will be an opportunity to learn about the humanitarian agenda Franca Sozzani, for years attentive to social issues. His appointment, which will be announced by the Executive Director of the World Food Programme Ertharin Cousin, in addition to other prominent personalities, including singer Christina Aguilera, actress Drew Barrymore and American philanthropist Howard Buffett, engaged for years in support the programs of the WFP.
