May 19 – Many artists from around the world are gathering for the Blue Note Jazz Festival in New York. The event will also feature Italy thanks to the participation of Alberto Pizzo, who will perform at the Highline Ballroom alongside other 150 musicians, including Aretha Franklin, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Michael Bolton, Gato Barbieri, Danilo Perez and Joe Lovano. Pizzo, the only Italian artist to perform on his piano at the festival, will take the stage on June 4. The kaleidoscopic pianist will be in New York for another important date: on June 6, he will perform at the KGB Red Room after an acoustic set with Tony Grey, Mino Cinelu and Fabrizio Sotti.
