Maputo – From today until Wednesday, Confindustria organized a mission in Mozambique focusing on agro-industries, infrastructure and energy. Together with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economic Development, Confindustria developed a number of meetings with targeted institutions responsible for development plans in these sectors, as well as with organizations and local businesses. The delegation, headed by Deputy Minister for Economic Development Carlo Calenda, will see the participation of 82 companies, 6 trade associations and 5 banks. It’s “one of the most important Italian missions in sub-Saharan Africa – said to PEI news Vincenzo De Luca, Deputy Director General/Principal Director for the Internationalization of the Country System and Territorial Autonomies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Mozambique is a dynamic country, with great resources and significant development potential; it has grown in recent years, partly as a result of the discovery of major gas fields, in which Eni is a key player.” (9Colonne)
