May 21 – The countdown for the Football World Cup in Brazil has officially begun, but the world of economics and business is already looking ahead, to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Six Reggio Emilia companies took part in latest mission organized by the Chamber of Commerce for the 11th edition of the international building exhibition “Projet Qatar.” Reggio presented its companies tied to the construction sector: thermo-hydraulic materials (Bertani SpA), metal processing (Comall International SpA), ceramics design and decoration (Giò Art by Baccini Giovanna), family entertainment (MP Group Ltd), furniture production (MR Marmiroli&C.), and air filters for domestic and industrial use (Tecnica srl ). “Substantial investments – said the Chamber of Commerce – are expected, in particular for the construction of hotels, stadiums and tourist infrastructure. For this reason, in the next few years the purchase of machinery, equipment, automation means and other assets related to the sector will increase, sponsored by Qatar’s economic prosperity.”
