Rio de Janeiro – September 15-18, Riocentro in Rio de Janeiro will host the Rio Oil & Gas Expo and Conference, the largest biennial meeting in Latin America for which the Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Rio de Janeiro will organize an “Italian Space” to offer Italian SMEs the opportunity to introduce themselves on the Brazilian market. Since its first edition in 1982, Rio Oil & Gas has made of Rio de Janeiro the “Capital of the Brazilian Petroleum.” In the State of Rio there is 82% of all oil produced in the country, and 50% of the total gas production. The last edition of the fair took over an area of 40.000sqm, and saw the participation of 1,300 exhibitors from 27 countries and of 53,000 visitors from 51 countries. The event includes lectures, conferences and technical sessions to give the opportunity to all participants to discuss and explore the main issues concerning technological innovation. (9Colonne)
