Algiers – The Minister of Economic Development, Federica Guidi, will visit Algeria tomorrow. During the mission in Algiers, she will meet with Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, the Minister of Industry and Mines Abdeslam Bouchaureb, the Minister of Energy Yousef Yousfi, and the Minister of trade Amara Benyounes. She will then head to the Italian Embassy to meet with a delegation of Italian businessmen residing in Algeria. The visit, which follows in the footsteps of that in Tunisia a month ago, will be the first mission in Algeria for an Italian minister since November 2012. The mission is a good opportunity to confirm the strategic importance of Italian-Algerian cooperation, especially in the hydrocarbon sector, for which Italy is the second purchaser and third supplier.
