Gaza – Following the escalation of violence in the Gaza Strip, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) launched a new call for assistance to displaced persons and for the reconstruction of vital structures destroyed or damaged by the bombings. The Italian Cooperation, in close contact with the Palestinian Ministry of Health and the “operational room” activated to coordinate aid delivery, has already purchased and delivered €30.000 worth of medicine, two anesthesia machines worth €40.000 and 1,250 mattresses for displaced families.
