July 29 – Young Basilicata artists are ready for their summer experiences abroad. The Region will publish on August 1 the notice on the second phase of the project open to 22 young people, who will have the opportunity to experience three weeks in Italy or abroad. Yesterday, Matera hosted the meeting to review the progress on the first phase of the initiative “artistic residences in Basilicata,” which is coming to an end in these days and that brought to the Italian region 15 young artists between 18 and 35 years from the United States, Afghanistan and Europe. The artists were able to live and work in the region, in close contact with their local counterparts, in June and July. Together, they created art projects as varied as music and multimedia installations, photographic and video projects, artistic creations in clay and earthenware.
