Paris – Cassina pays tribute to the 40 years of the Maralunga sofa with a special exhibition in the Paris showroom, at 236 Boulevard Saint Germain. The exhibition will run throughout the month of September, also exhibiting the 2014 offer of the Italian company. In the 1970s the Maralunga sofa immediately stroke the international markets as a great innovative product: its adjustable head rest, its reassuring aspect and the extreme simplicity of the soft padding fully summarizing the salient features of the project. “With Maralunga – said creator Vico Magistretti – I intended to design an object representative of the whole interior design focused around family life. I wanted to create a warm and comfortable place where anybody could feel at home.” (9Colonne)
