Baghdad – The humanitarian mission to support displaced Iraqis in Kurdistan continues under the coordination and supervision of the National Operations Room of the Italian Red Cross. Once in Iraq, the convoy will reach Northern Iraq and become operational as soon as possible. The Italian Red Cross will kick off humanitarian intervention alongside the Turkish and the Iraqi Red Crescents, to help thousands of displaced people in the region. The convoy is bringing 2 kitchens, 5 trailer vehicles, a truck crane, a 4×4 ambulance, 3 jeeps, 2 buses, a van that can be used as an office, several tanks and a generator. The two kitchens, one of which is fully equipped, will make 10.000 meals per day, to be distributed among the displaced population. (9colonne)
