Sept. 19 – “Be SpectACTive!” is a project set up by the Kilowatt Festival and the City of Sansepolcro, approved by the European Commission for financing within the 2014-2020 Creative Europe Culture Programme. The project involves 12 European institutions, representing 9 countries, including The London International Festival of Theatre and the York Theatre Royal (representing the UK), the Tanec Festival Praha (Czech Republic), the Bakelit Multi Art Center in Budapest (Hungary), the Sibiu International Theatre Festival (Romania), the Perforacije Festival in Zagreb, Rijeka and Dubrovnik (Croatia), the Ex Ponto Festival Ljubljana (Slovenia), the Perypezye Urbane Milan, Fondazione Fitzcarraldo in Turin, and two departments specialized in cultural marketing from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and the University of Montpellier (France). Kilowatt and the City of Sansepolcro will coordinate this prestigious network to create “active spectatorship,” the active involvement of the audience in the art piece. The project expands to the European level the highly successful Visionari project at the festival of Sansepolcro.
