(Oct. 8) The Italian construction companies grow abroad. So said the 2014 Report on the presence of Italian construction companies in the world, presented this by the Ance at Villa Madama, in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Cooperation. The product sales abroad are more than tripled in less than ten years (from 3 billion in 2004 to 9.5 in 2013), the production increased by 8,60%, the portfolio of contracts acquired abroad enriched with 319 new jobs for a total of 17 billion euros: important numbers, especially when compared with the difficult situation of the market at a national level. Ance President, Paolo Buzzetti, puts the spotlight on this: “There is no more activity in Italy and the resumption of the internal market depends on political choices at European level; a change in economic policy is essential to revive the sector-” The growth of companies abroad, however, is due “not only to the skill of the firms – said Buzzetti – but also to the strong collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a new synergy that has promoted a successful model.”
