Oct. 14 – The Italian Embassy, with the Italian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, is organizing an event to celebrate the friendship between Italy and Israel during the 14th edition of the “Week of the Italian Language in the world.” The event, which will take place October 20-25, will see the embassy and the ICI host the opening evening with the Association Amitei Italy. The organization was founded in 2005, bringing together hundreds of former Israeli students of Italian universities. Together, they will celebrate the strong bond between Italy and Israel, and some of these young Israelis will perform in Italian in the play “Io, Alfredo e Valentina” by Oreste De Santis, directed by Elico Levi, starring Adriana Meloni, Elico Levi, Lea Stein, Tal Aviv and Israel Yagal. The young talents will perform for Italian ambassador Francesco Maria Talò, the director of the ICI Simonetta De Felicis, and the President of the Association Amitei Italy, Arieh Chen. (Cle)
