Geneva – The second edition of the pilot course “CBI – Based Innovation Challenge,” a program on education innovation, will involve for the next six months a team of students, teachers and researchers from several universities, coordinated by the CERN in Geneva . The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia is the only Italian university involved, through the Department of Engineering Sciences and Methods. The course aims to mainstream the technology developed within the CERN into everyday life. To achieve this goal, universities and companies are required to address and resolve some of the major challenges faced by contemporary society, exploiting the most advanced technologies and innovative ideas. Reggio students will alternate periods of work in Italy with visits to CERN to interact with the various researchers and understand the available technological potential. At the end of this period, they will submit their final prototypes. (9Colonne)
