Oct. 23 – The historic Italian publisher Einaudi has reached an impressive milestone: 80 years of activities in Belgium. For the special anniversary, the Italian Institute of Culture in Brussels has organized an event on November 6 (at 7pm), with Ernesto Franco, director general of the publishing house. Francesco Piccolo, one of the most famous Einaudi writers of the last generation, will be at his side. This year’s winner of the Premio Strega, for his latest book “Il desiderio di essere come tutti,” will open the exhibition on “Writers read by writers. Comparing prefaces at Einaudi.” The exhibit will be the occasion to present the most famous prefaces and reviews published by Einaudi, collected in the soon to be released “Cento lettori.” The event takes place in the context of “Le officine del libro: meeting the main figures of Italy’s publishing industry,” promoted by the Italian Institute of Culture in Brussels.
