Oct. 24 – Lazio’s start-ups look to the North and Central American markets thanks to the Turning Point project, submitted by the Consorzio Roma Ricerche, for the internationalization of excellence in the design and creative industry. The Consortium, along with Unindustria and Tecnopolo, will select 22 SMEs and start-ups based in the region operating in the fields of creative and applied design to the priority sectors of Lazio exports: services, systems, graphic design and visual communication, marine, automotive, clothing, furniture, lighting, furnishings, nutrition, and the environment. These companies will be able to promote their products in the United States, Canada and Central America. A scientific committee will choose, through a “call for entry,” the innovative products to be presented to operators and investors. In addition, a “Street Design Challenge” will involve young designers whose new vision and new products are “Made in Lazio.” The project will come to an end with an event at the Polo Tecnologico Tiburtino open to professionals, investors, institutions and the media. A delegation of foreign traders and investors selected by the Italian Chambers of Commerce of Miami, Toronto and Cuba will attend the scheduled b2b and b2i meetings, and technical seminars. (Cle)
