Nov. 6 – The Italian Cultural Institute of Montréal, in collaboration with Italvine and the Zenato Peschiera del Garda winery (Verona) will open its doors on Thursday, November 13 at 6:30pm to the photographic exhibition “Vite. Il mondo del vino in scena.” The exhibit is dedicated to the world of grape growing and wine production in Italy. The Zenato family will be represented by Alberto Zenato, son of the founder, who will introduce the exhibition. The photographic display made its debut at Vinitaly 2014, giving a new image to the people and places involved in the production of wine, through the camera lens of 13 third-year students of the School of Photography Fondazione Studio Marangoni in Florence, led by photographer Edoardo Delille. Their working method, rigorous and consistent, brings to life photos of great visual impact and reflects the Zenato company’s philosophy: “We wanted to offer a new way to experience wine – said Nadia Zenato, Alberto’s sister – provide a new occasion where the visitor is at the heart of a true sensory experience, which expands into the photographic exhibition. Vite means both vine and life, and thus holds a double meaning in Italian: it’s the precious fruit that employs thousands in our area; and it’s the lives of these people, who produce great wines such as Amarone and Lugana.” The exhibition will be accessible to all, for free, until Friday, January 9 2015.
