New York – “Frate Francesco: tracce, parole, immagini” is the title of the exhibition to be held from November 17 to 28 at the UN headquarters in New York. It is the first time that papal documents and manuscripts from 13th and 14th centuries on the Saint of Assisi arrive at the UN. The exhibition consists of 19 pieces from the Old Fund of the Fondo Antico of the Biblioteca Comunale of Assisi at the Biblioteca del Sacro Convento of Assisi. The exhibition will be presented in the United States on November 13 at 9:30 am at the Italian Consulate in New York. The heart of the exhibition will be the Codice 338, a collection of early writings and documents relating to Saint Francis and the Ordine dei Frati Minori, containing the “Cantico delle Creature”, a starting point of Italian literature.
