Bratislava – To commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War, an event that marked the rest of the 20th century in Europe, Comenius University and the Bratislava Institutes of Culture of Italy and France will talk about the role of propaganda in the representation of the conflict. An international conference, scheduled for today in Bratislava, addresses the issue of stereotypes as part of war propaganda, with the aim of showing that after a century little has changed in terms of nationalist propaganda and war. The tools are still the same: stereotypes, prejudice, half-truths, symbols and the like. The conference will be introduced by Comenius University Dean Professor Karol Mičieta, the Italian Ambassador to Slovakia Roberto Martini and Dider Lopinot, Ambassador of France. (9Colonne)
