Moscow – International Vinitaly kicks off the eleventh consecutive edition of Vinitaly Russia, held in Moscow today, confirming the strong Italian presence in the local wine market. Despite the recent political unrest and Russia’s counter trade measures, Italy remains a leader among exporting countries, with more than 21 million liters of bottled wine sold in the first six months of 2014 and nearly 8 million liters for sparkling wine. The Vinitaly and producer delegation, led by the President of Veronafiere Ettore Riello, will also welcome Verona mayor Flavio Tosi. (9Colonne)
